One hundred twenty nine  families in Villa Natividad,  a Community Mortgage Project in Bgy. Minuyan in the City of San Jose Del Monte now enjoy safe and potable water from the tap. The internal distribution network  complete with booster pump, pump house,  and generator set, was funded by San Jose Water and its private partner, Primewater Infrastructure Corporation under the partners’ Tubig Kalinga Project.

The water system of three CMPs –  Samahan ng Maralitang Pilipino Housing, Greenheights Subdivision and Galahapmai Village all  in Bgy. Muzon  were inaugurated and activated earlier this year.

The partners initially allocated P30Million for  Tubig Kalinga Project which is expected to benefit at least 1000 families.

To qualify as Tubig Kalinga beneficiary, a CMP has to express its interest in writing to San Jose Water, and submit the subdivision plan, development permit indicating that it is a CMP,  and grant of right way from the land owner in favor of San Jose Water. There are eight other CMPs that have expressed their interest to be part of the project and are still in the process of complying with the requirements, specially the grant of right of way from the land owner.

The CMP is a mortgage financing program of the government which assists legally organized associations of underprivileged and homeless citizens to purchase and develop a tract of land under the concept of community ownership.  Seven out of 23 CMPs with a total of approximately 3500 families in the City of San Jose Del Monte are already enjoying individual water service from San Jose Water.
